This is a G1 Coated drumhead featuring a harmonic control system. It’s a very popular drumhead among drummers because it combines the sensitivity of a standard single-ply drumhead with the harmonic control provided by the internal muffling ring.

Evans now manufactures all their drumheads with the Level 360º system, where the hoop’s design perfectly fits the drumhead surface onto the shell. Additionally, the hoop’s vertical design ensures perfect contact with the shell’s bearing edge, resulting in easier tuning, longer sustain, greater dynamics, and ultimately better sound. The Evans Level 360 hoop has solved the old problem of drumheads that didn’t fit the shell easily and required forcing, which compromised the drumhead’s performance.
