The V31 module features the same internal sound engine as the V71, delivering an identical combination of sounds and expansion options in a streamlined interface. These ready-to-record sounds have been crafted from a carefully selected range of the the best drum kits in the world, delivering the detail, punch, and sound quality of the most expensive drum kits collections.

New sounds at the letter

Just like with the V71, you can freely change the sound set of the V31 module to always sound like the last. Open the Use the Roland Cloud Connect app on your mobile device to access an expanding range of V-Drums Instrument Expansions via your wireless network. Then, browse the sounds you want, download them directly to the module, and start playing.

Choose your perspective

Drum sounds exist in two different realms. One is the intimate, close-up sound of the drum kit when the you are playing. The other is the produced sound you hear in recordings and live concerts, which is usually processed with equalizers, compressors, and ambient effects. Many DW Soundworks expansions replicate V-Drums Instrument Expansions, allowing you to switch to the software drum kit maintaining the sound and the exact module responses.

Snare Drums amazing

Each V-Drums 3 kit includes an expressive pad of snare drum 12-inch with a head double mesh of tension adjustable, independent trigger of head and hoop, and cross-stick compatibility. The PDX-12 (TD313) features a hoop narrow rubber pad that delivers natural acoustic feel, while the new PD-12P (TD316) features a hoop chrome-plated with three piezoelectric sensors featuring hot spot elimination and enhanced response. The PDA120LS (VAD316) delivers outstanding performance with advanced sensors and a compact design Shell with an acoustic wood look.

Sensitive toms

The TD313 and TD316 kits feature the new PD-8H and PD-10H tom pads, renowned for their feel and responsiveness. Designed for expressive and dynamic playing, these pads include a hoop made of rubber from Roland’s high-end pads, plus an offset piezo sensor that minimizes hot spots and delivers precise detection in head and hoop. The VAD316 features the performance taken even further with two 10-inch rack toms and a 12-inch floor tom with shells narrow wooden.
