Do you want to pick up your drum kit at our store? Since we opened, we have offered our customers the option to take home their drum kit fully assembled and tuned if picked up at our store. This is something we provide at no extra charge, with the experience of doing so for countless customers since 2001.

Mapex asked, how can we improve the famous Saturn series? The answer was simple; they incorporated some technical enhancements from their Top Black Panther series into their hybrid shells.

The Shells
The Saturn series gained great fame in recent years due to its innovative work in the construction of hybrid shells. With a blend of maple and walnut, these shells are characterized by impressive attack and powerful lows.

Some special features

• The 90º floor tom legs drastically reduce vibration to the floor, achieving maximum resonance in the shells.
• The toms and bass drum have different combinations of vent holes that, along with the grommets, are positioned at the nodal point.
• The mounts for the toms and floor toms feature a new design that provides better isolation from the shell.

SONIClear
The SONIClear Bearing Edge allows the head to sit better and make better contact with the shell. The result is a clearer fundamental tone, effortless and more consistent tuning, and a significantly wider tuning range.

Sonic Saver Hoops
The “Sonic Saver” hoops designed by Mapex combine the qualities of Power Hoops and Die Cast. They have a unique sound that perfectly complements the shell for a round and powerful effect. Weighing almost 700 grams each, it should come as no surprise that the Sonic Saver hoops are designed to take hits without warping. The top flange is bent inward, which not only gives a special sound to the snare but also extends the life of your drumsticks, great news for you but bad for us :)
