A complex hammering contributes to the unique sonic identity of each cymbal and to the dark tones that can be both cutting and smooth. Made in small batches using a 14-step process, each K Constantinople has its own distinctive voice.

The alloy

Known as the Zildjian Secret Alloy, this B20 alloy consists of 80% copper and 20% tin with traces of silver. This B20 alloy can be challenging to work with, requiring extensive reworking and annealing due to its naturally fragile state, but Zildjian has been using it for over 400 years.
This versatility allows the K Constantinople cymbals to be a staple across all kinds of music, from jazz to rock.
