Each instrument features 8 metal rods of different lengths that have been silver-soldered to a metal inner ring. Once assembled, these rods are carefully retuned to achieve the interaction of tones and harmonics in a continuous flow of harmonies. Outdoor Use
Although the internal and external parts of the chime have been protected by a layer of eco-friendly varnish and paint, like many objects left outside, regular maintenance with varnish or oil will help protect it. Still, it cannot avoid the negative effects of weather conditions on the chime. When suspended outdoors, such as under a cantilevered roof or another slightly protected place, the chime will sound and continue to play its magical melodies for many years.

Materials
Most of the materials used are eco-friendly and recyclable, sourced to EEG standards. The wooden parts are coated with wax. The finely crushed and pressed layers of long-fiber celluloid board create the perfect acoustic qualities for achieving the warm chime and crystal-clear sounds for which Zaphir chimes are so well known. The vast majority of the materials used are natural, recyclable, and meet EEG standards. The protective layers of varnish and paint on the resonating tube are eco-friendly.
