Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Tom 13x09" Orange Sparkle

The Yamaha Absolute Hybrid has inherited much of the hybrid shell technology used in the PHK, making it one of the leading advancements in drum manufacturing. The shells of the Absolute Hybrid feature a central core of wenge, a very hard and heavy African wood, sandwiched between layers of maple, a wood known for its sound clarity. This hybrid design provides the drum components with a clear tone and a rich timbral quality at any point in the dynamic range played.
A versatile sound with character suitable for any style.

The Shells

• In the Yamaha Absolute Hybrid shells, the design consists of a central core of wenge, a very hard and heavy African wood, sandwiched between layers of maple, a wood known for its sound clarity. This hybrid design provides the drum components with a clear tone and a rich timbral quality at any point in the dynamic range played.
• It incorporates the YESS III system, which further reduces acoustic damping. By allowing the shell to vibrate more freely, the YESS III mount enhances the sustain and natural volume of the shell.
• The bearing edge on the bass drum is different from that used on the toms. The toms and snare drums use a 45º/R1.5 edge, while the bass drum features a 30º/R1.5 edge that produces deeper tones and a more powerful, resonant sound.
• The interiors of the shells are coated with Yamaha's exclusive "Vintage Natural" finish to enhance the tone.
