The legendary cymbals that defined the sound of generations of drummers since the early days of Rock.
A sound you’ll recognize because it has been featured on thousands of iconic recordings.
- 2002 Bronze Alloy
- Versatile cymbal with great volume
- Warm, present sound with strong projection
This series is crafted with professional quality, entirely handmade with manual hammering. These cymbals are perfect for all music styles. Today, they are still manufactured exactly like the original 1971 model.
Cymbals that are durable, with plenty of volume and projection, and due to their manufacturing process, have exactly the same sound as the first original 1971 cymbals.
The alloy
Built with the legendary 2002 Bronze (CuSn8 - 92% copper, 8% tin). In the late 1950s, amplified music demanded a new alloy because the emerging styles produced much more volume. In 1963, Paiste proved that 8% tin bronze was ideal for these requirements and has used this alloy for decades in many of their high-end cymbals.
About Paiste
Paiste has been making cymbals for all kinds of drummers for over a century. Their manufacturing system is unique, and the alloys they use in most of their cymbals are exclusive and distinctive. For this reason, it’s easy to recognize a Paiste cymbal. Artists like John Bonham, Vinnie Colaiuta, Tommy Aldridge, Ian Paice, and Steve Jordan, among an incredible list, have entrusted their sound to Paiste.
