Description

The wood
The Hickory (American Walnut) is the wood most used in the manufacture drumsticks by the great resistance to bear blows.  The Hickory is more dense than the maple (about 10%) and less than the Japanese oak (about 10% too). The density  and the natural sensation of this wood makes it the preferred by a vast majority of drummers.

About Zildjian

Zildjian is undoubtedly a legendary brand in the making of cymbals, and they have been doing it since 1623.
Their cymbals are featured in the world's most important tours, from jazz to metal, as well as in the best orchestras globally and, of course, in thousands of iconic recordings.
Zildjian cymbals have a secret, ancient alloy that, combined with their proprietary formula and the finest “handmakers,” makes these cymbals true treasures.

Drummers of the caliber of Dennis Chambers, Steve Gadd, Charlie Watts, or Taylor Hawkins, among an endless list, trust Zildjian for their tours and recordings.

Zildjian's recommendations for caring for the cymbals in this series:

This cymbal has been handcrafted in the United States and utilizes special processes that give this cymbal its unique character and appearance. Color variations are a normal part of this cymbal.
Avedis cymbals undergo a unique aging process that enhances their tone and character.
Do not clean this cymbal using cleaners or any other types of cleaning products.
Do not expose it directly to sunlight for extended periods or to high temperatures.
Do not label or place anything on top of the patina.
All of this can alter the finish of the cymbal.
