Sela SEGO20WIM Wind Gong 20" Mantra

The Mantra design features a predominantly dark, low-gloss surface that contrasts with densely engraved concentric rows of the Tibetan Buddhist mantra Om Mani Padme Hum in traditional Tibetan script.
The engravings have brighter bronze tones with the central symbol Om as the visual focal point of the design. The variations in surface treatment and the depth of engraving subtly influence the response and the articulation of the harmonics.
The system used to make these gongs may result in signs of the manufacturing process.

Windgongs are also known as Feng or Sun (Sol) gongs. The shape is almost flat, and because of this, the vibration of the gong is long with a very pronounced sustain. One of the main characteristics of this type of gong is its accentuated low frequencies and the variety of nuances depending on the intensity with which it is played.

Due to the manufacturing process of this gong, it may have marks on its surface associated with this type of handcrafted production. These marks will not be treated as a warranty.
