The Chau Gongs are traditional instruments used for meditative, therapeutic, and musical purposes. Highly recognized for their deep bass tones and wide range of harmonics, they produce long vibrations and respond sensitively to different playing techniques and dynamics.
The Mantra design features a predominantly dark surface with low shine, contrasting with concentric rows engraved with the Tibetan Buddhist mantra Om Mani Padme Hum in traditional Tibetan script.

The engravings reveal brighter bronze tones, creating subtle reflections and a finely structured surface. The central symbol Om is the visual focal point of the design. The variations in surface treatment and the depth of the engraving subtly influence the response and the articulation of the harmonics, maintaining a warm and sustained tonal character.
