Zildjian Ride 20" A Custom

They feature a bright finish and new hammering techniques that give these cymbals the sound of A Zildjian, but with a contemporary touch. The A Custom series is neither too dark nor too bright. They have a quick response and a clean attack.
A sophisticated expression of the classic Avedis Zildjian sounds. They are lighter in weight and have a radically innovative hammering. Developed alongside the drumming icon Vinnie Colaiuta in 1992, this series features a fine-grooved hammering that allows you to add the classic Zildjian sound to modern music. This series is specially designed and crafted for today's music. Impressively versatile.

The alloy

Known as Zildjian Secret Alloy, this B20 alloy is made up of 80% copper and 20% tin. This B20 alloy can be difficult to work with, as it requires extensive reworking and annealing due to its naturally fragile state, but Zildjian has been using it for over 400 years.
Like all of Zildjian's cast bronze cymbals, they are poured and shaped individually from raw molten metal. Each casting is cooled and sorted by weight for each model of cymbal. Then, the cast pieces undergo a complex sequence of heating, rolling, shaping, hammering, and turning techniques unique to each model of cymbals. These cast bronze cymbals have a rich, full-bodied sound that improves over time. They also offer greater projection, clarity, and durability than any other cymbal.
