The series Evans EQ3 is made with two layers of 6.5mil and has control  “chuckles” and a great emphasis the low frequencies. Its articulation and resistance make the EQ3 perfect for playing live and the sound is not distorted by very strong you touch.
This EQ3 model has a “froasted” finish that makes the sound warmer in addition to controlling even more harmonics.
