This series is built with a single layer of 1 mil of an inch. This thicker film, along with the layer of white paint, produces darker and mid-range tones, as well as providing greater attack and volume. The Ambassador X is 20% thicker than the standard Ambassador Coated, which you'll notice in its enhanced control of harmonics.
