In 1963, Ludwig launched the first series of Acrolite snare drums. Although it was originally aimed at the mid-level market, professional drummers quickly fell in love with the distinctive dry and sharp sound it produced. The Ludwig LM405 Acrolite snare drum, measuring 14" x 6.5", is a faithful tribute to the original model and has the same characteristic sound as the original.
