Applying his expertise and passion for percussion, Balter began producing high-quality mallets at a very reasonable price that quickly found their way into the stick bags of thousands of percussionists. His ongoing dedication earned Mike Balter the prestigious 2015 Percussive Arts Society Lifetime Achievement Award.
