About Paiste

Paiste is undoubtedly one of the most renowned gong manufacturers in the world, and some of its series, such as the Planetary, have set trends in this instrument. They have been making cymbals and gongs for all types of percussionists for over a century. Their manufacturing system is special, and the alloys they use in most of their cymbals are unique and exclusive. For this reason, it is easy to distinguish a cymbal from this brand.

Compared to gongs made of alpaca, these gongs tend to have a deeper fundamental tone, a warmer sound character, and a generally fuller sound. Due to the nature of the alloy, the sound of bronze gongs changes over time due to the relaxation, aging, and the influence of the gong being played significantly more than with alpaca gongs.

The basic character always remains, but bronze gongs live and will continue to change over time and under the influence of the person playing them. Through this continuous action and reaction and the constant subtle change that results from them, there exists a unique and mutual influence between you and the gong.
The series consists of seven spectacular and unique models named numerically.
