Zildjian Hi Hat 14" K Constantinopla

A recreation of the legendary Constantinople cymbals. Manufactured in small batches and born from the collaboration between Zildjian’s Sound Lab and Elvin Jones himself. The utmost precision in crafting each cymbal and its completely distinctive character truly make them masterpieces from Zildjian. Dark, evocative sounds. A complex hammering pattern contributes to the unique sonic identity of each cymbal, producing dark tones that can be both cutting and smooth. Made in small batches using a 14-step process, every K Constantinople has its own distinctive voice.

The alloy
Known as Zildjian Secret Alloy, this B20 alloy consists of 80% copper and 20% tin with traces of silver. This B20 alloy can be challenging to work with, requiring extensive reworking and annealing due to its naturally fragile state, but Zildjian has used it for over 400 years.
This versatility makes the K Constantinople cymbals a staple across all kinds of music, from jazz to rock.
