The Sonor Teardrop kits are among the most sought-after vintage drum kits, and now the German brand offers them with the same technical specifications as in the past.
Using the original rounded bearing edges, the new drums from the Vintage series bring back the "Old Sonor Sound" to their product line. Sonor introduced the 45º bearing edge in 1975 and continues to use it in the SQ2 and Prolite series.
In cooperation with artists and vintage drum specialists, Sonor has worked to reproduce the Vintage line as faithfully as possible to the look, feel, and sound of the old Teardrop drums. Later, Sonor combined its knowledge and experience in drum construction with the appearance and sound of vintage drums.

The bass drum features a Fiberskyn head with the logo used by Sonor during the 1950s.
