Do you want to pick up your drum kit at our store? Since we opened, we have offered our customers the option to take home their drum kit assembled and tuned if picked up in our store. This is something we provide at no extra charge, backed by our experience serving countless customers since 2001.

Mapex asked, how can we improve the famous Saturn series? The answer was easy: they incorporated some of the technical enhancements from their Top Black Panther series into their hybrid shells.

The Shells
The Saturn series gained great fame in recent years due to its innovative work in hybrid shell construction. With a blend of maple and walnut, these shells are characterized by an impressive attack and powerful lows.

Some special features

• The 90º floor tom legs drastically reduce vibration to the floor, achieving maximum resonance in the shells.
• The toms and bass drum have different combinations of vent holes, which, along with the lugs, are placed at the nodal point.
• The mounts for the toms and floor toms have a new design that achieves better isolation from the shell.

SONIClear
The SONIClear Bearing Edge allows the drumhead to sit better and make better contact with the shell. The result is a clearer fundamental tone, effortless and more consistent tuning, and a significantly wider tuning range.

Sonic Saver Hoops
The “Sonic Saver” hoops designed by Mapex combine the qualities of Power Hoops and Die Cast. They have a unique sound that perfectly blends with the shell to achieve a round and powerful effect. Weighing almost 700 grams each, it shouldn't be surprising that Sonic Saver hoops are designed to withstand hits without deforming. The top flange is bent inward, which not only gives a special sound to the snare but also extends the lifespan of your sticks—great news for you, but bad for us :)
