Sonor's Teardrop kits are some of the most sought-after vintage drum sets, and now the German brand offers them with the same technical specifications as back in the day.
Using the original rounded bearing edges, the new Vintage series drums bring back the "Old Sonor Sound" to their product line. Sonor introduced the 45º bearing edge in 1975 and continues to use it in the SQ2 and Prolite series.
Sonor, in collaboration with artists and vintage drum specialists, has worked together to faithfully reproduce the look, feel, and sound of the classic Teardrop drums in the Vintage line. Later, Sonor combined its expertise in drum construction with the appearance and sound of the vintage drums.

The bass drum features a Fiberskyn head with the logo Sonor used during the 1950s.
