Shells redesigned
The design of the shells improves the blow and the clarity of sound while eliminating the annoying buzzes produced with other kit elements. The construction birch Premium 6-layer is one of the favorites in recording studios for their combination of attack and warmth in the low range. The 30o bearing shafts provide these shells a quick response, are easy to tune and highlight the features of your heads.
Because of the series Recording Custom is one of the drums most recorded in the world, when Yamaha proposed to update the line, was largely based on the experience of the great recording expert, Steve Gadd. Gadd's goals were to get a more round and deep tone and make them as versatile as possible by expanding the tuning range.
Furniture
Gadd and Yamaha have used in design and the manufacture the Remembering Custom only the best of Yamaha hardware. Each piece was chosen to provide this drum stability and ease of use. The lugs high tension are built with greater weight to help cushion the unwanted noise and buzzing of the shells. What. The stands YESS connects to Shell with minimal contact, this allows the shells resonate freely. And the stands YESS also designed to never interfere with the placement of your toms or when you change heads.

Axis cut
After countless tests and after testing many combinations shells, Steve Gadd chose an angle of the 30th axis and thus get a better answer. Them shells thus achieve a wide range of tuning, respond well to all kinds of heads and are easy to tune.
