Vic Firth 7A American Sound AS7A
The American Sound series features the most popular American Classic® models, but with a round acorn lug.
- Greater definition in toms and cymbals
- Made in the United States
- Crafted from selected hickory
The round tip surface area provides greater focus and clarity to drums and cymbals. This line allows drummers to change their sound and tone without sacrificing the feel or balance of the American Classic series drumsticks.
The 7A drumsticks are perfect for low-volume situations. It is a slightly scaled-down 5A but with great balance. Perfect when speed and touch are the top priority. If 5A sticks are too heavy for you, these might be your sticks.
The wood: Hickory
American hickory is without doubt the most widely used wood in drumstick manufacturing and the favourite of the vast majority of drummers, thanks to its durability, weight and flexibility. Hickory is denser than maple (by around 10%) and slightly less dense than Japanese oak (also by around 10%). The density and natural feel of this wood make it the preferred choice for the overwhelming majority of drummers.
