The series American Classic has a traditional design and the most current sound achieved with the more modern technical advances. Drumsticks manufactured in Hickory (American Walnut) selected and unsuitable, this wood is known for its durability.
The lugs are perfectly finished to produce a perfect sound in the cymbals. Models with lugs nylon are similar in size and shape to their wood counterparts, providing better performance and brighter sound in the cymbals that the original wooden end models.
The 5A drumsticks are the most widely used by drummers across virtually all styles. They have a standard length of 16” (40 cm) and a diameter of 0.565”. Whatever your style, a 5A can be your stick.
The wood: Hickory
American hickory is without doubt the most widely used wood in drumstick manufacturing and the favourite of the vast majority of drummers, thanks to its durability, weight and flexibility. Hickory is denser than maple (by around 10%) and slightly less dense than Japanese oak (also by around 10%). The density and natural feel of this wood make it the preferred choice for the overwhelming majority of drummers.
