The 5A drumsticks are the most widely used by drummers across virtually all styles. They have a standard length of 16” (40 cm) and a diameter of 0.565. Whatever your style, a 5A can be your drumstick.
Wood
American Hickory drumsticks, like the rest of this brand’s sticks, are made from top-quality material using the latest technological advances in drumstick manufacturing.
It is undoubtedly the most common wood used in drumstick production and the preferred choice for the vast majority of drummers due to its durability, weight, and flexibility. Hickory is denser than maple (about 10%) and slightly less dense than Japanese oak (also about 10%). The density and natural feel of this wood make it the favorite among most drummers.
