The nylon tips allow percussionists to change the wealth the wood, nylon shine without sacrificing the feeling and balance. And with the injection moulding process, they won't blow up or fly. The injection process also allows to create complex and precision forms that match exactly with their wooden tip equivalents.
The 5A drumsticks are the most widely used by drummers across virtually all styles. They have a standard length of 16” (40 cm) and a diameter of 0.565”. Whatever your style, a 5A can be your stick.
The wood: Maple
Maple is a wood widely used when you need thickness without extra weight. It is somewhat less dense than hickory (American walnut) — by around 10% — and about 20% less dense than Japanese oak. It provides great articulation on both heads and cymbals. Perfect for orchestral use or for jazz players who want a thick stick without added weight.
