Meinl Big Apple Bop Hickory SB111

The Big Apple Bop are a few drumsticks light and fast, with a lug larger acorn type, provide a full sound in the toms and snare drums and a great definition of drumstick in the cymbals. The Jazz models have a diameter similar to a 7A but with a longer, thinner taper, which makes them an excellent choice for jazz players or for anyone wanting a light stick with good rebound. The oval bead produces a dark, warm tone that is perfect for ride cymbals.
The wood: Hickory
American hickory is without doubt the most widely used wood in drumstick manufacturing and the favourite of the vast majority of drummers, thanks to its durability, weight and flexibility. Hickory is denser than maple (by around 10%) and slightly less dense than Japanese oak (also by around 10%). The density and natural feel of this wood make it the preferred choice for the overwhelming majority of drummers.
