The traditional concentric turning technique with a smaller pattern and a lower profile, applied by Sabian's Vault artisans (some of whom have hand-crafted over a million cymbals), is one of the factors contributing to the open and vintage tone of the cymbals AA.
The alloy
Made with B20 alloy of pure bronze, it consists of 80% copper and 20% tin with traces of silver. This B20 alloy can be difficult to work with, as it requires extensive reworking and annealing due to its naturally fragile state, but Sabian has known it for over 400 years and has used it in their family.
This versatility allows the cymbals AAX to fit into all types of music, from jazz to rock.
