Amedia Crash 20" Farqin
The main feature of Farqin is a hybrid construction divided into three surfaces, each crafted using a different hammering or turning technique.
- Raw and hammered bell. Unturned and with a very visible hammering. It provides a drier, more direct response with plenty of character.
- Over-hammered central zone. It is the most controlled part of the cymbal and helps contain the wash, offering good stick definition.
- Finely turned edge. It allows the cymbal to open up more easily, generating a cleaner, more flexible response rich in harmonics.
The goal is for you to achieve clearly different sounds depending on where you strike the cymbal.
How does it sound?
The overall character of the Farqin can be defined as:
- Clean and well-articulated sound
- Very musical harmonics, present but pleasant
- Controlled wash in the central area
