The Tucked heads feature a hoop like those found on traditional conga heads. This system increases stability and tuning range. Due to the lack of standardization and variation in manufacturing found in congas, the initial tuning of the head on each drum model may vary. When installing the heads, be sure to level and center the heads and maintain that balance by adding tension to the drum slowly and evenly. As you bring the drum closer to the desired pitch, the head will adjust to the shell.
