Since LP began manufacturing these congas, a large majority of professional percussionists have used them on their tours and recordings.
The Classic congas have a more pronounced "belly" that not only clearly distinguishes them but also provides a characteristic, warm sound that highlights the mid and high ranges of the conga.
They are constructed from eco-friendly Siam oak with a fiberglass reinforcement on the upper inner part of the shell, providing additional strength.
