Contemporanea C-PEN03 Head Napa/Korino 14" Red
The Korino drumhead from Contemporânea has two layers of synthetic materials: on one side, an artificial napa leather layer and on the other, a nylon layer. This construction achieves a warm and deep sound, highly recommended for almost all types of instruments but especially for those played with the hand, such as rebolo or tantan.
Important note: Napa or korino drumheads are sensitive to excessively hard mallets. Using mallets with insufficient or worn padding can damage the drumhead and affect sound quality. For this reason, we recommend using only soft mallets with good padding for this type of drumhead to ensure durability and achieve the best possible sound.

Due to the manufacturing process of Contemporânea drumheads, in most cases, the hoop joint is not completely sealed.
Also, the drumhead may show slight wrinkles around the edge that disappear once the drumhead is mounted on the instrument and tensioned.
These characteristics do not affect the sound or durability of the drumhead and therefore cannot be considered a defect.
