Data sheet
Symphonic Brillant Gongs are identical in construction to Symphonic Gongs but are polished by hand to achieve their mirror-like appearance. The sound of these brilliant models differs only very little from conventional symphonic gongs. They build their harmonics slightly faster and as you can see how they look is amazing.
Symphonic is the original and oldest series of Paiste Gongs. The root note (they are not tuned to a certain note) is perfectly balanced and produces a perfect balance of harmonics that respond in any type of situation. The word Symphonic should not be confused with its only use being for classical symphony orchestra application. The sound of these gongs changes and is greatly influenced by how they are struck, as well as the size, weight, and composition of the mallets. . Depending on which area the gong is struck produces different types of sounds.
The sound of these gongs can be influenced and varied through the strike, as well as the size, weight, and composition of the mallets. By varying the points of attack, club changes or intensity, the sound of the symphonic gong changes substantially.
An excellent option to start your gong collection.
